German luxury car maker Audi launched the open top version of Audi R8 Spyder in India earlier yesterday. Propelled by a 5.2L, 525 bhp, V10 petrol heart, new Audi R8 Spyder accelerates from 0-100 kmph in a mere 4.1 seconds.
Sporting space frame technology, LED headlights, Audi R8 offers six-speed transmission in two different modes- automatic and manual. Interiors include Bang & Olufsen sound system, heated seats with pigmented leather seat covers.
Audi R8 Spyder reaches a maximum speed of 313kmph. The other features include permanent all-wheel drive, launch control and stylish appearance. Audi India head, Michael Perschke expressed his delight over the launch as he stated, "We believe that the Audi R8 Spyder will add to the spurring demand for excellence in auto performance. With this addition to the R8 family, after the launch of the R8 V10 in January, Audi now offers the whole range of R8 options in India."
Audi open-top sportscar will be available in India starting from April and will be priced at Rs. 1.47crores (Ex-Showroom). Demand for luxury cars has drastically increased in India, and Audi expects to meet customer demands fully, explained Michael Perschke.
